6 Killer Tips For More Circuit Gym Members

Circuit gyms are different and need to be managed differently.

By Robert Harper

"Follow these three easy steps all year long and you'll keep your members longer…"
In this article, I'll talk to you about 6 great ideas, concepts to help you as an owner and manager build your circuit gym's business success!

1. Sharpen those social skills.

Socializing with your clients and prospects is undoubtedly very important. Not only is it important, it's one of the easiest and effective ways to make your business go further.

Understand that business is about relationships. In social settings, prospects and clients get to know you on a different and personal level. They can see you in a light outside of your business and understand where you are coming from.

Getting to know your clients pays off -- spend time with them, know their goals, advise them individually, and it will pay dividends.
One thing is for sure, people enjoy doing business with people who are caring, considerate and enthusiastic; people who take in interest in their goals and needs.

No one likes to do business with anything less, especially in a competitive fitness industry. It's too easy to move on down the road where someone cares.

Make sure it is you and your employees that care, because clients do business with people they like.

By socializing with them, you give them and yourself a chance to find your common grounds, interests, opinions and such. You open new doors to opportunities, access to their families, friends and businesses. You get invited into your clients social setting as a friend, not just a business associate.

Getting To Know Your Clients Pays Off

Getting to know your clients in critical. It's very important that your clients believe in you and trust you. In order to retain their membership, they must trust you! To gain anything close to a referral, they must really trust you and like you.

Because of the close nature of a circuit gym, you're really afforded a great chance to get to know your clients and it's very important that you humble yourself to this spot. As they workout in your gym, they need your friendship and support. They also need your encouragement. After all, they are paying you and in their hearts, part of their payment is for support.

Becoming friends with your members is not just a great idea in retaining them as a customer, it makes life easier in upsales and more importantly, it can net you the all important referrals. And trust me, they are super crucial. Just as important for your clients to not talk poorly of your gym.

It's impossible to please everyone, so don't even true but do remember to get to know your clients at all chances.

2. Don't Be Afraid To Blow Your Own Horn (At Least A Little)

Be The Authority

Let's face it; you didn't get to this point because you're a dodo! You are in a highly sought niche market serving a very important function to the health of America and you are getting paid to do so.

You know a thing or 500 about fitness and your clients from the onset are expecting you to know what you are doing.

Be sure to reinforce your position in the minds of your clients whenever you can. Now, no need to have anybody think of you as cocky, but do go out of your way to share your knowledge in a way that allows you to be the authority on the subject while captivating the minds and interests of your clients.

Your clients are in your gym for a reason and they look up to you as the owner so be there for them. Do not be afraid to give group lessons, if you are afraid of public speaking even better! Force yourself to bigger crowds to speak on the topic.

Force yourself to speak about fitness at the chamber of commerce and SBA meetings; after all it IS a very important topic!!

Tell of your successes

If people don't know about them, then they didn't happen!

Make sure you share your success stories with clients and non clients alike. Take before and after photos, offer a month free to post them. And best of all, seek more successes! They will pay off!

In your local area, make sure you create the profile you want of yourself and your gym and people will flock to you!    More…
