Other studies show that that bacteria will grow significantly in bottled water over a 12-day period, not to mention the 30,000,000 plastic bottles per day, which end up as garbage or litter. When plastic bottles are incinerated along with other trash, toxic chlorine and dioxin is released into the air while heavy metals deposit in the ash.

So what do we do? We can't rely on tap water. And in many cases bottled water is even worse. Well, there is something you can do. One of the few systems that restore the energetic compatibility of tap water is a water treatment system called Pi-water ("living water"). 
Pi-water was discovered in 1964 by Japanese botanists. They noticed that near a small town in Japan, a narrow stream flows between two hills. One hill is largely magnetite; the other contains calcium compounds, which produce ions with a net positive charge. The stream between them courses over a bed of silicates, the material that forms natural crystal. The combination produces negative ions.
These scientists noticed that the water in this stream had remarkable effects on the surrounding plant life. They set out to reproduce this natural water in the lab.
