The DNA and the cells they reproduce are no longer perfect copies but damaged copies. This begins the degradation of functioning cells that is commonly referred to as aging. Many age-related diseases are also attributed to this occurrence.

In a new study, researchers compared HGH growth hormone levels in several ways — resting (for a baseline measurement), after a 6 second cycle sprint, and after 30 second cycle sprint. The Results Are Incredible

The 6 second sprint method did move HGH some, but didn’t come close to the body’s potential to release this powerful hormone. The 30 second all-out effort sprint experiment increased HGH by 530% over resting baseline and 450% over the lesser intensity sprint.

Like earlier research studies, HGH stayed elevated for 1.5 to 2 hours after the sprinting program. And according to the researchers at the University of VA, the HGH released during exercise targets body fat for up to two hours after training. This new research became the essence of my book; how to increase HGH through specific types of fitness training, and how to keep the fitness hormone in your body for two hours after training going after body fat.

The Synergy Fitness anaerobic sprint workout can be performed in many different ways — cycling, swimming, skiing, running, XC skiing, or even power walking. It can be performed in the gym on an elliptical trainer, stationary bike, recumbent bike, or a treadmill.

Where can the quantitative or numerical data be found for the ergometer sprint study? It would be interesting to know what the baseline and post-sprint HGH levels were.

Ready, Set, Go!
The methods outlined in this book work well, just like the book says actually. I lost almost 20lbs. going from 195lbs to 173lbs. (pot belly to flat stomach) and people started calling me kid (I was 36). Its not complicated and the intense workouts are over quickly. Another plus is that you can eat more, not less on this plan. It allows you to keep the muscle and lose the fat.

I haven't read the book but you only have to look at the physiques of sprinters and the physiques of long distance runners to realise that something very different is happening to their bodies as a result of their training methods, mainly the duration and intensity is different in both pursuits.I am now 50 years old and for many years have had a love hate relationship with long distance training having previously run for 10 miles three times a week for many, many years. Unfortunately I was beginning to look drawn and my features were starting to look skeletal which is a look I am not happy with. Also I was developing many injuries which became more painful and eventually I stopped running altogether. Sprinters or people who do short intensive training generally look more muscular and healthy than people who do long duration training such as marathon runners,triathlon athletes etc. I'm going to take up hill sprinting to put some meat on my bones and make me look and feel healthier than endurance training ever did. I hope this new book does well and I intend to read it at some point.
