This particular form of group indoor rowing was created by Josh Crosby, a multi-sponsored ultra-endurance athlete, triathlete and, of course, world champion rower.
Crosby has been the face and athletic aspiration for Nike, New Balance, Asics and Adidas, and has also been interviewed on The Today Show, CNN, Outdoor Life Network, and Fox News.

He brings an elite caliber athletic pedigree to this form of rowing, a growing international fitness program created for an intense, full-body, team-oriented workout. "Indo-Row", short for 'Indoor Rowing', was launched in 2004 at Revolution Fitness, an exclusive studio on Santa Monica's Montana Avenue. Now, Crosby is partnering with major fitness clubs to bring Indo-Row into the group fitness arena.
Crosby's impressive background makes him not only an adrenalin addict, but also no stranger to intense physical competition. As a 3rd generation rower and a gold medallist at the Jr. World Rowing Championships in 1992, Crosby went on to race with his Brown University crews to two National Championship titles.
He later led the U.S. National Lightweight Team to a fifth place finish at the World Rowing Championships in Finland, and was then chosen by the 1996 Olympic Selection Team and US National Team where he competed until 1999. Now, he uses Indo-Row as the foundation for his training.
